The two ground floor apartments are to the back of the family house, so offer privacy and a certain amount of seclusion. The apartments look out to a border of lavender and roses, behind which rises a shady knoll with table and benches, a place for reading and reflection, or maybe a picnic.

Each apartment is beautifully finished (terra cotta floors throughout, exposed brick arches from the original structure, old terra cotta stoves, central heating, double glazed windows, screens, firm sturdy beds, good reading lights) and has a living-dining room with well-equipped kitchen area and a bathroom with box shower and bidet.		The larger apartment, Lilà, has two bedrooms, to either side of the living room: a big double bedroom and a twin bedroom with a view to the west across a wooded valley to distant hills.		The smaller apartment, Giglio, has a double bedroom with a view to the east through a pine grove and across the Val d'Egola.

There is no telephone for the apartments, but a mobile phone is available for guests. For fax and Internet access, there are several Internet Cafés and the public library in Montaione.

This is a non-smoking property. It's probably not appropriate for very young children.

Languages spoken: Italian, English, French. Rentals normally go from Saturday to Saturday.
